Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony

This coming Saturday, 2 December 2017, attend the Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony aboard the Battleship Texas. The ceremony is hosted by the Texas Wildlife and Parks Department.

The ceremony begins at 11:00 AM on the Battleship Texas Forecastle. Admission to the Texas is no cast for participants and ceremony attendees.

Approximately 15 minutes prior to the ceremony the Commemorative Air Force will conduct a four plane fly over (baring the fog of this morning dissipates!). The ceremony should last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The Community Band of Southeast Texas will provide the music as they did so well last year. The USMC is providing a Rifle Squad to conduct the Honor Rifle Salute. Members of the Sons and Daughters Pearl Harbor Survivors will attend the ceremony and participate in the memorial wreath tossing activity within the ceremony.

This years speaker is Companion Gil Raynor. Gil will speak on the efforts to raise the ships sunk and damaged during the Attack.
